How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Chemistry teaches problem solving and critical thinking. It opened doors for my medical school application. My medical school biochemistry class was a walk in the park after my undergrad biochemistry courses at Duke!"

What advice would you give students in Duke's Chemistry programs?

"Your undergraduate degree is a beginning ingredient in the recipe of life. I do not use my chemistry degree on a daily basis, but I definitely use the problem solving skills and focus on precision and accuracy daily. My chemistry degree kickstarted my medical degree which has lead to international teaching and mission work, business ownership, and early retirement."
