How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Being a chemistry graduate helped me in medical school and as an anesthesiologist in regards to understanding chemical make up of medications that I use everyday."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Chemistry programs? 

"Chemistry helps to give the foundation for understanding physiological processes and also for understanding the inner workings of things that we may use in everyday practice. Therefore, chemistry can provide great starting point for a multitude of careers."
