How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"I was fortunate to have wonderful mentors at Duke, including Dr. Donald Chesnut and Dr. James Bonk, who taught me not only discipline related skills that helped be to become an effective educator but also life skills that have guided my personal and professional development and career trajectory."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Chemistry programs?

"Take advantage of every mentoring and networking opportunity that presents itself to you. Know, too, that the science of chemistry - its processes and that intersection of theory and experiment - prepares you for life, both personally and professionally."
