The Department of Chemistry looks forward to celebrating with our graduates on Sunday, May 10! Below are some helpful links to both departmental and University Graduation events:
May 9: Ph.D. Hooding at 10.00am for Chemistry - The Graduate School will hold two hooding ceremonies for 2025-2026 Ph.D. graduates at Duke Chapel (401 Chapel Drive). Chemistry will be held at 10am. The hooding ceremonies will be livestreamed for family, friends, and faculty who cannot attend in person.
May 10: Duke Commencement at 9.00am at Wallace Wade. University Ceremony details, regalia, and university-wide celebrations for all graduates.
May 10: Chemistry Celebration of Graduates. Diplomas will be presented to undergraduate and graduate Chemistry degree recipients.
11.00am: Light Lunch available at French Science. Enjoy an informal meal with graduates on the French Science Patio. View research posters throughout the Atrium and hallways of French.
12.15pm: The Ceremony for undergraduate and graduate degrees in Gross Hall Room 107. This will be a ticketed event with each graduate eligible for up to four (4) tickets. Should you have additional guests joining, family and friends are welcome to gather in Gross Hall 103 for a livestream viewing.
Parking will be available in the Chemistry lot. This is a five minute walk from the lot to Gross Hall.
