Sarah Angle Awarded NIH Fellowship

Sarah's T31 award, "Developing Prodrugs to Selectively Suppress Beta-lactam Resistant Bacteria", will provide funding for her continued studies with Professor Katherine Franz. Antibiotic-resistant infections are steadily on the rise and threaten public health worldwide. Sarah's research aims to develop new antibacterial prodrugs that are only activated in resistant bacteria, reducing harm to beneficial microbes.
