How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?

"The skills I gained through my chemistry major at Duke laid the groundwork for me to pursue a PhD in atmospheric chemistry. In particular, the environmental chemistry focus helped me find my passion for research in this field."

What advice would you give students in Chemistry?

"I would advise students in Chemistry to find what they're passionate about--do as many internships, work in as many labs, and talk to as many people as you need to to hone it. I knew I liked "chemistry" when I entered Duke, but it took me many classes and several research experiences before I discovered the perfect blend of chemistry and Earth science that fits my interests."
