Major in Chemistry with concentration in Biochemistry; Minor in Economics
I am a pre-health student with strong aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. My time at Duke University thus far has taught me how to deal with the challenge of juggling a rigorous academic workload with activities outside the classroom by speaking with my various advisors, but also my peers. I am a research assistant in the Ferguson Lab in the school of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and I am a volunteer at the Lenox Baker Children's Hospital part of the Duke Health system. For fun I like to be active with my friends, utilizing the the countless recreational programs and facilities at Duke. I am also passionate about connecting with other students by teaching, so I have worked as a teaching assistant in the economics department and hope to do so in the future in the chemistry department.
