How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?

"Though I'm not working in a chemistry-related field, my chemistry education taught me how to digest, understand, and distill extremely technical concepts - and to never be afraid of them. That skill has helped me with every single job I've had since college. I also have a great appreciation for the work and skill that goes into developing new technologies and advancing research."

What advice would you give students in Chemistry?

"Spend some time job shadowing or working in a lab to get a feel for what the research life is like!"
