"I feel my academic background at Duke University provided me with a solid basis for success in academia as veterinary radiation oncologist. As a chemistry major at Duke University, I gained a basis in science and research and a work ethic that has carried me throughout my academic and scientific career. It shaped my thought process, scientific writing skills, and use of evidence-based medicine. The challenges it gave me them prepared me for the numerous challenges I'd face in my further schooling and now in my profession."
