2009 Major: Chemistry

How has being a Chemistry graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?

"It has served me well in the medical field as pharmacology is a huge part of what we do."

What advice would you give students in Chemistry?

"If you're going to major in chemistry, go for the BS rather than AB degree. It's more rigorous, but it looks more professional to have a science degree in a scientific field rather than a Bachelor of Arts in a scientific field. People take it seriously in job interviews. It's also easy to be premed and have this major."
